Welcome
Membership of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce is continually looking to the chamber to be their voice for business in Bossier-Shreveport, Baton Rouge and Washington D.C.
To meet that request, the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs/Public Policy Committee (GAPPC) has increased its efforts in supporting pro-business legislation while adamantly working for the defeat of legislation that would harm business.
Committed to making a difference at the local, state and national levels of government, the GAPPC is unveiling this new website, http://www.voiceofnwlabusiness.com/, as a tool to educate the Bossier Chamber membership and the public at-large of the stances and actions of the committee.
As the website will grow to include more and more issues over the coming weeks, the committee is initiating this tool to speak in opposition of the Consumer Financial Protection Agency Act of 2009 (CFPA). Please make this an interactive tool in your effort to defeat this anti-business piece of legislation.
We look forward to providing you with more public policy information and providing you with all the tools you need to be a part of our efforts.
Kara R. Lowrie
Vice President, Governmental Affairs/Public Policy Committee
